Photography is one of my favorite hobbies. I studied black and white photography some years ago at an art college in Michigan. I used a manual Minolta camera for my class and developed my photographs in a darkroom. It was fun working in the darkroom, seeing the images emerge on paper and creating special effects with various equipment. But it was expensive, too. Now that I use a digital camera, a Canon Rebel XT, I appreciate the affordability that digital photography offers. And through my design work I’ve learned that Photoshop is the new darkroom, allowing me to creatively enhance the photography I use in my projects.
Here are some photographs I’ve taken within the last few years. You may recognize some of them…I’ve used a few in some of my blog posts!

Your photos are lovely, Nancy! You have a good eye.
Thanks, Aimee!
Nancy…I did not realize you were into photography… We will have to talk sometime!
I’ve always enjoyed it, but hadn’t done that much until I started my blog. Now I have a place to put my photos!
You’ll have to give me some photography tips sometime!
Great photos, and I can relate to training in a darkroom.
